We stock everything you need for the perfect break in our special little village. Our shop and cafe is owned by the community and run by volunteers. From everyday essentials to local products – we have it all!
We are open 9am until 5.30pm during the week, 9am until 5pm on Saturday and 9am until 3pm on Sundays.
We are happy to help with orders or answer any questions.

We have an excellent rage of items produced in Yorkshire. From gin to chocolate we stock lots of local suppliers.
Fresh Produce
Nigel our fruit and veg man delivers three times a week. Our cherry tomatoes have become quite famous!
A proper Brew
Our coffee is specially roasted for us by York Emporium. You can have your tea and coffees as take-aways or sit in our cafe.
Wine, beers and Spirits
Our wines are curated by York Wines, we have a range of local beers and we also have our very own Bishop Wilton gin.

Forgotten something or need something in an emergency? We have a range of essentials including toothbrushes, toothpaste and pain killers.

Papers & Magazines
We have a range of national and local papers, as well as a range of magazines and puzzle books.
Art Materials
We have a range of arts and craft materials to keep you - or the kids - busy during your stay. We also have artwork from local artists for sale.
Picnic supplies
We have good supplies for picnics and packed lunches - including sandwiches, pasties the best sausage rolls!
